China Slate Ltd has a joint venture partnership with the Dongmu Quarry that use a combination of modern technology and traditional skills to produce a high quality Emperor slate.

The result is a range of slate which is comparable with the best roofing materials in the world, suitable for the most demanding applications.

All our slate is free from damaging pyrites and sulphates; they are fully compliant with BS EN 12326:2004, which replaces the old BS 680 standard. Insurance-backed UK guarantees are available, for up to 75 years. Some our products also meet the American ASTM standard.

Due to price and availability factors, it has been increasingly difficult to obtain the precious and much sought after green slate. The management team at China Slate has successfully secured the very best alternative. They have also installed a similar system as in Dongmu Quarries, to ensure that a continuous supply of the quality slate is maintained.

More recently, China Slate have invested in the increasingly popular purple slate and are now able to offer a purple coloured product which meets the high standards expected.

None of our slate will fade or discolour, except for our Classique range which fades to rapidly provide an aged appearance, providing a cost effective and hassle-free alternative to reclaimed slates.
